Stone carpet

Stone carpet is a seamless, decorative floor finish that offers a warm appearance. With virtually unlimited color and application options, stone carpet fits perfectly into any type of interior. Additionally, stone carpet can be applied to almost any subfloor, including wooden floors, as long as they are pre-leveled with water-resistant plywood.

For a stylish finish, skirting boards can also be provided in the same stone carpet. Our stone carpet is also compatible with underfloor heating, making it extra comfortable.

Therefore, stone carpet is an excellent choice for both new construction projects and renovations.

Outdoor

An outdoor stone carpet consists of millions of sand grains, typically measuring 1 to 2mm, 2 to 3mm, or 3 to 4mm.

The grains are carefully selected by Casa Bela Decor. They are washed and fire-dried. Due to the erosion in riverbeds, the sand has been naturally shaped over millions of years, resulting in beautifully rounded grains, not broken ones.

The coloring is done at high temperatures with specially developed coatings, ensuring a very high quality that is more wear-resistant and colorfast.

Difference from standard stone carpet:

The difference between standard stone carpet and UV-resistant stone carpet lies in the binder and coating used. A standard stone carpet uses epoxy, which can yellow over time when exposed to sunlight.

In contrast, a UV-resistant stone carpet uses a high-quality, non-yellowing binder, which helps retain the color even when exposed to sunlight. Additionally, the stones are coated with a non-yellowing PU coating. This ensures the stone carpet maintains its appearance and durability, even under prolonged exposure to UV rays.

Light floors

Light floors are more susceptible to discoloration from sunlight, so it's important to use a lightfast PU binder to maintain the color for many years. However, this may limit the available color choices, as some pigments are less stable under direct sunlight.

After mixing the stones with the binder, they are spread out, and optionally, a glossy top layer can be applied for added protection. The result is a strong, seamless floor available in various colors.

Inside

Open stone carpet

An open stone carpet consists of millions of carefully selected sand grains, with sizes ranging from 1 to 2 mm, 2 to 3 mm, or 3 to 4 mm. These grains are washed and fire-dried, and through natural erosion in riverbeds over millions of years, they have become rounded, meaning they are not broken.

Casa Bela Decor colors the grains at high temperatures using specially developed coatings, resulting in a highly abrasion-resistant and colorfast quality. After mixing the colored grains with a binder, the stones are spread out with a trowel. Optionally, a glossy top layer can be applied for additional protection.

The color palette for an open stone carpet is endless, and the result is a strong, seamless floor.

Closed stone carpet

A closed stone carpet consists of carefully selected sand grains ranging from 1 to 4 mm. The grains are naturally rounded through erosion and are washed and fire-dried. Casa Bela Decor colors these grains with special coatings for a wear-resistant and colorfast finish. After mixing with a binder, the grains are spread out and covered with a sealing compound, making the floor completely closed. Optionally, a matte or satin top layer can be added for extra protection. The result is a strong, seamless floor available in various colors.

Difference from standard stone carpet:

The difference between a standard and a UV-resistant stone carpet lies in the binder and coating. Standard carpets use epoxy, which can discolor due to sunlight exposure. UV-resistant carpets, on the other hand, use a high-quality, non-yellowing binder and a PU coating for the stones, ensuring better color retention over time.
